World Party is the latest release in the best-selling Zumba Fitness video game franchise that has sold more than nine million copies worldwide and ranks as the #2 fitness franchise of all time, second only to Nintendo’s Wii Fit. Finding this Zumba for the Wii, I thought it might be a fun way to give it a try. I've been a faithful Wii user since 2009 with Wii Fit and Wii Sport Resort as our fitness routines. After reading a few reviews, I picked the World Party as it looked the most interesting with plenty of variety. This one also came with a belt at a reasonable price.
Super Mario Allstar port for the Wii is only 23MB. But when disc itself, aswell as any uncompressedISO file, it's 4.3 GB Right, I know that. It is 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) to be exact, all of them are, except dual layer. But a file size of 4.35 GiB does not need a dual layer disc. From wiki: 'Unlike the Nintendo GameCube, Wii game discs use the standard DVD size, which enables them to hold more memory than the GameCube discs: up to 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) for single-layered discs, and up to 7.92 GB (8,511,160,320 bytes) for dual layered discs.'
So if the wbfs is only 4.35 GiB, why is it on a dual layer disc? Can anyone confirm the 'scrubbed' size of this game?
EDIT: Sorry, I found this I believe on a skidrow site, it is not a skidrow game, the folder/file is: Zumba.Fitness.World.Party.USA.WII-iNSOMNi EDIT 2: Well, I finally found some scrubbed files that are 'rar'ed' at 4.36 BiB, so I guess the size is correct. Makes no sense to me why they used a dual layer on this if it fits on a normal disc that is almost 4.38 GiB. So I guess I answered my own question, and the torrent can be found here: You were right Q91, but it makes no sense to me! I don't have a current ISO that's uncompressed so I cannot check how large normal Wii games are 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) is the size of all 'dvd5' or 'normal' Wii games (which is actually closer to 4.38 GiB then 4.37.). And it is a size restriction on dvd5 since they can actually be a bit larger @ 4,707,319,808 bytes for DVD-R.
That is why I could not understand why a game that was 4.35 GiB scrubbed would make a dual layer image. Only thing I can think of is maybe they are switching to make all games dual layered?
Maybe they think it is an added security feature? Also, I am now noticing that the site I copied that info from used the wrong nomenclature: 'Unlike the Nintendo GameCube, Wii game discs use the standard DVD size, which enables them to hold more memory than the GameCube discs: up to 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) for single-layered discs, and up to 7.92 GB (8,511,160,320 bytes) for dual layered discs.'
